Chief Growth Officer - Direct to Consumer

The Chief Growth Officer is responsible for managing the full funnel marketing strategy that drives Prudential's Direct to Consumer Business, Prudential Stages. Stages is an extension of Prudential Financial that was launched this past January to reach a wider market and provide consumers with choice (online, virtually, or face to face) in how they engage and purchase solutions. Over the last two years, this dynamic and high performing team has built a new end-to-end experience, including a tech-forward online platform that helps consumers navigate through pivotal life stages, such as retirement, with confidence. With a click of a button, consumers can easily schedule a call with our team of experienced financial advisors who can offer financial planning, investments, life insurance, and retirement solutions.



In this role, you will play a significant role in shaping and influencing the company's growth strategy. You will oversee execution for Prudential's direct-to-consumer marketing efforts across paid media, owned channels, affiliates, and partnerships, while partnering with counterparts across the business to ensure a holistic customer experience, Brand continuity, and business profitability.

Essential Job Functions

  • Create, own, and execute Prudential Stages' direct-to-consumer end to end marketing strategy
  • Lead full funnel marketing efforts across all levers (paid media, organic traffic, nurture and affiliates, and external partnerships) to drive profitable customer acquisition
  • Create and maintain Prudential Stages' marketing learning agenda across the funnel, launch iterative tests in market, and manage critical KPIs to drive business optimization
  • Leveraging agile methodology, lead the direct-to-consumer agile marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation, data driven decisions, and high velocity execution
  • Oversee collaboration and partnership with Enterprise marketing capabilities (i.e. Prudential Brand team to drive increased retail engagement)
  • Support the sales team to drive customer conversion with our financial advisors
  • Effectively manage outside agency/marketing vendor partnership(s) and execution
  • Manage and oversee Prudential Stages Marketing budget with an emphasis on driving profitable growth
  • Report directly into the head of Prudential's Direct to Consumer Business

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • 15+ years in marketing, working on consumer-facing digital experience
  • Deep experience in multiple lead generation channels (e.g. Paid Media, Social, Email/SMS/CRM, SEO, Affiliates, Partnerships) with familiarity in others
  • Dynamic leader with experience inspiring teams to reach performance goals
  • Experience driving campaign strategy and execution
  • Ability to assess and communicate key strategic risks and opportunities
  • Experience defining strategic vision and tactical execution plans for complex consumer experiences
  • Highly data-driven with a strong analytics background
  • Strong management skills to interface across several teams, coordinate and align different teams to the same strategic goals, and efficiently inspire and drive success
  • Preferred experience with early stage / venture /start up companies
  • Experience working with and leading agile teams
  • Experience managing lead generation vendors and marketing agencies to ensure ROI-positive engagements and that KPIs are being met or exceeded
  • Experience in effectively working with multiple, cross functional teams (i.e. Sales, UXUI, Product) for collaboration and company-wide project delivery
  • Experience with performance marketing and sales tools such as Marketo, Tableau, Adobe Analytics, Salesforce, etc.

The salary range for this role is from $201,900.00 to $273,100.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
