The Director of Marketing Analytics will lead our global Marketing Analytics & Data Science team, dedicated to non-financial insights around marketing performance. The Director plays a pivotal role in understanding the performance of campaigns, channels, and segments to improve the performance of our marketing & SDR engine. The team will also use data science to create personalized experiences, recommended actions, and predictive insights. The ideal candidate will have experience in leading a successful global Marketing Analytics team, have an innovative problem-solving streak, and be passionate about marketing. This role reports to the VP of Marketing Strategy & Operations and a key peer member of the Marketing leadership team as well as our



Responsibilities

Team Management: Lead a global team of approximately 5-7 Analytics Managers, conducting analyses on Marketing campaigns, channels and segments. The team will be global so the manager should have experience managing international teams.

Innovation: Utilize all the latest best practice methodology to ensure continuous improvement establishing scalable process, workflows, and automation to provide customers and the marketing team with high quality experiences driven by data.

Mentorship: Hire, develop, and mentor support team members, fostering a culture of excellence and exceptional customer experiences.

Collaboration: Network and build relationships with other marketing & sales leaders to drive changes to plans based on data insights & deliver marketing growth.

Performance Reporting & Insights: Build reporting across Marketing for insights related to key initiatives, segments and channels in partnership with Marketing LT, Regional Leads, and project leads. Surface key insights and drive action to increase investment in high performance areas, optimize areas with growth potential and decrease investment in areas that are underperforming.

SDR Performance: Partner with Sales Ops, Marketing Ops and the SDR organization to improve the sales and marketing efficiency through a detailed understanding of the SDR funnel with weekly insights on actions and changes needed. Create alignment between Sales and Marketing on SDR capacity, incentive alignment, and lead volume requirements.

Segmentation: Build intelligent customer segmentation across our multichannel marketing efforts, understanding our customer, our GTM, and our data to create models that provide the right experience for the right customer at the right time, improving lead conversion.

Required Skills and Experience

Leadership: Demonstrated capability to lead change and constantly improve processes while bringing your team along for the journey. Proven track record of developing people and managing high-performing teams.

Strategic Thinking: Ability to lead and innovate in a fast-paced environment. A visionary who can draw from best practices from larger organizations while thriving in agile environments.

Analytics & Data Science: Exceptional ability to analyze Sales & Marketing data, including integrating and connecting data sources, conducting analyses to determine root causes of performance, building scalable dashboards for consistent reporting, creating customer segments, & building predictive insight models. Experience with Tableau preferred.

Communication: Clear and effective communication of complex information and the ability to build effective relationships with all levels of employees in a team-oriented environment.

Problem-Solving: A forward-thinking mindset, attracted to tackling ambiguous and unsolved problems with a "make it happen" attitude.

Work Ethic: A results-oriented approach, with a tireless work ethic and the emotional intelligence to know when to push harder and how to "influence" key stakeholders we depend on to achieve a Customer-first mindset across the company.

In this role, youll work primarily remotely with the support of a dynamic and caring team. Well provide you with the digital tools and experiences to be together-even when were apart. Being digital first doesnt mean were digital only. Youll also have the flexibility to join us at a Zendesk workspace, in one of our Zendesk offices or our flex office spaces. We will bring our people together on occasion to connect, collaborate, learn, or celebrate in person.

The US annualized base salary range for this position is $148,000.00-$222,000.00. This position may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, or related incentives. While this range reflects the minimum and maximum value for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations, the offer for the successful candidate for this position will be based on job related capabilities, applicable experience, and other factors such as work location. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only (or OTE for commissions based roles), and do not include bonus, benefits, or related incentives.
