World Wide Technology has an opportunity available for an Instructional Designer on our Learning and Employee Development team. This role will be primarily focused on supporting the Cornerstone Learning Management System (LMS). This position will act as a subject matter expert in the operations of the LMS, supporting the Learning and Employee Development Team and the Supply Chain Training Team. From time to time, this role will also support the design and development of learning content.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Learning Management System:

  • Partner with the Learning and Training teams to support the day-to-day utilization, data management, and operation of the Learning Management System.
  • Create, execute, and manage training assignments to ensure they are effective and appropriate to the target audiences based on needs and requirements.
  • Ensure training content, curriculum, checklists, and/or knowledge checks are created and configured appropriately within the system. Responsible for executing complex setups.
  • Partner with LMS Administrator for data and setup maintenance activities, ensuring resources, groups, and content are up to date. Create an annual review process for all LMS components.
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures to support correct utilization of the LMS.
  • Advise teams on areas for improvement within LMS setup and utilization.
  • Ensure data integrity within the LMS.
  • Build, maintain, run, and schedule reports. Analyze training reports and metrics for trends and provide suggested mitigation or opportunities.
  • Act as an escalation point person for Learning Management System troubleshooting and issues, for learning and training teams. Partner with LMS Administrator to resolve issues.
  • Supports LMS Administrator with updates, changes, and communications as needed.
  • Manage a high number of projects to ensure work meets the needs of the business and actively work to keep projects moving forward at all times.

Instructional Design and Development:

  • Consult with subject matter experts in various areas of the company to identify business and behavioral objectives through appropriate needs analysis and discovery.
  • Create learning and performance support materials using agile methodology including needs discovery, iteration, delivery, and measurement of training.
  • Incorporate ROI concepts into the analysis, design, and development of learning and performance support needs, including course assessments and evaluations.
  • Create learning and performance support resources using tools such as PowerPoint, Articulate Storyline, and other multimedia creation applications.
  • Design performance support and learning materials, such as facilitator guides, job aids, and information resources based on end-learner needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Educational Technology, Instructional Technology, or a combination of ample/comparable work experience
  • 4+ years of Learning Management System experience, Cornerstone preferred
  • 4+ years of experience developing and implementing learning solutions
  • 2+ years of experience using Articulate Storyline 360
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills
  • Strong analytical skills to develop options for complex problems
  • Proven ability to measure training programs through evaluations and appropriate data
  • Knowledge of user experience principles as they apply to learning
  • Highly collaborative in a remote work environment
  • Ability to foster and maintain strong professional relationships
  • Embraces change, has passion, strong work ethic, a can-do attitude, fosters teamwork, and displays honesty and integrity in all situations
