Capgemini discloses salary range information in compliance with state and local pay transparency obligations. The disclosed range represents the lowest to highest salary we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting, although we may ultimately pay more or less than the disclosed range, and the range may be modified in the future. The disclosed range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, geographic location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is $125,620 - $187,600 yr.

This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.

Job Description:

We are seeking a proficient Senior Embedded Software-Systems Lead specialized in aerospace engineering to be responsible for the development and seamless integration of the fuel system and FTIS (Fuel Tank Inerting System) software in collaboration with suppliers for our esteemed aircraft programs!

This remote role requires occasional travel, including bi-monthly visits to Long Island City, New York, and short-term stays in Montreal or Mirabel, Quebec, Canada!

Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with suppliers to strategize and drive schedules, leveraging standard processes for successful partnerships in meeting project timelines.

Ensure strict alignment to established processes during testing and validation/verification phases by suppliers.

Lead the integration of fuel system LRUs/components (FQC, RDC, ARDC, RDCP, etc.) with diverse aircraft systems and supplier interfaces, including FQC (Fuel Quantity Computer), RDC (Remote Data Concentrator), ARDC (Auxiliary RDC), RDCP (Refuel Defuel Control Panel).

Orchestrate digital collaboration with other crucial aircraft systems, particularly Avionics and Electrical systems.

Serve as the primary point for reviewing engineering specifications from suppliers, including DCS, SSS, IDD, System Level Test Procedures & Reports, among others.

Take charge of leading and releasing ARP4754A engineering documents.

Cultivate strong working relationships with wide-ranging partners, including internal teams and external suppliers, encouraging effective communication and collaboration.

Flexibility to travel as required, spanning regions such as the US, Canada, and Europe for supplier visits and collaborative sessions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in aerospace engineering or equivalent practical experience in the field.

Extensive hands-on experience (7+ years) in software development within aerospace engineering domains.

Proven track record of integrating Fuel and/or FTIS at the aircraft level.

Familiarity with FAA Part 25 certification requirements.

Knowledge and Understanding of DO-178, DO-254, and relevant Aerospace References like AC, AIR, ARP, AS, MIL, etc.

Proficiency in tools including Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and database systems like Windchill/FRACAS.
